Abstract |
The article explores cardiac ruptures (CR) in the acute period of myocardial infarction (MI). The study is retrospective and was conducted in two stages. At the first stage, the authors measured the share of CR in the structure of in-hospital mor-tality for primary and repeated MI. At the second stage, we studied the impact of thrombolytic therapy (TLT) on frequency of CR in the acute period of MI and on changes in the mortality structure for this disease. Actilyse, metalyse and purolase were used as thrombolytic drugs. The researchers showed that TLT with these thrombolytics for MI does not significantly increase CR frequency, nor does it defi-nitely increase CR frequency in the mortality structure. It is presumed that, to a sig-nificant extent, late thrombolysis triggers CR. |
